Gifted Education
Gifted students in District 833 are those able learners who by virtue of outstanding abilities are capable of high performance. The potential of these able learners may be developed more fully through differentiated educational programs and/or services beyond those normally provided in the core curriculum. Able learners capable of high performance include those with demonstrated achievements or potential ability in any of the following areas, singly or in combination: general intellectual ability, specific academic aptitude, athletic/psychomotor ability, creative or productive thinking, leadership ability, visual and performing arts.
All District 833 schools have Gifted Education services. We use a Cluster Classroom Model to develop the potential of gifted learners more fully. Please click on the link below for more information about neighborhood school cluster classrooms and Gateway cluster classrooms.

CHAT stands for Connect, Help, Advocate, and Talk. Chat nights are dedicated to informally connecting parents of advanced learners and gifted students. Parents have the opportunity to learn of various opportunities, share experiences and resources. Each night will start with a brief presentation on a topic of interest and then open up to discussion with other parents of gifted children.
Open to the public. All are welcome. Please come to participate in this new outreach program of MCGT. Questions about CHAT Nights may be directed to Teresa Boatman at teresa.boatman@mcgt.net.
